Where this came from

It started with a post.

It started with a LinkedIn post by our founder, Sean King, calling out the absurd. The BEE points calculator that somehow makes nobody qualified. The job requiring 30 years experience paying intern wages. The grant to kickstart your business that you can only get after 2 years in business. Politicians' kids in boardrooms while PhDs serve coffee.

But underneath the savage humour was something deeper: watching brilliant SAFFAs, all brilliant SAFFAs, waste energy on bitterness when they could be building empires. Or at least paying rent while giving the system the middle finger.

SA Rejects exists because the corporate reject who learned to invoice overseas clients needs to show the graduate how it's done. The entrepreneur who couldn't get funding needs to teach others how to bootstrap. We're creating our own economy where merit and hustle actually count.
